Fettuccine Alfredo

Sauce:
6 T butter
1 1/2 c whipping cream
1 c fresh grated parmesan cheese
salt and pepper
ground nutmeg

Melt butter in sauce pan and whipping cream cook a few minutes at med low heat. Then add cheese, salt and pepper and nutmeg. Cook until thick. If not thick enough add more cheese. At this point you may also add sauted mushrooms or chicken cooked in butter.
Serve over spinach fettuccine pasta or plain fettuccine pasta. Serve hot.
